Key updates for 2025 Flagship Lexus LX
The flagship Lexus LX SUV has strengthened its reputation as the ultimate in luxury off-roading with updates to the 2025 range.
The Lexus commitment for continuous improvement introduces greater comfort, more features, off-road performance and safety with a suite of enhancements to the third generation of the popular SUV introduced locally in 1998.
Headlining the LX’s greater appeal is the introduction of the Overtrail grade – combining peerless luxury with unmatched off-road performance through the addition of fully locking front and rear differentials, higher-profile all-terrain tyres and a range of unique design touches.
Overtrail offers LX customers more choice as it fully realises the off-road potential of the LX platform, redefining the concept of five-star adventure.

Two powerful and refined twin-turbocharged V6 powertrains continue to offer the driving force: the 3.3-litre LX 500d diesel with 227kW and 700Nm, and the 3.5-litre LX 600 petrol making 305kW and 650Nm.
Both powertrains are teamed to an intelligent 10-speed automatic transmission, driving all four wheels through a full-time four-wheel-drive system with low-range gearing and a 3,500kg braked towing capacity1.
The LX lineup opens with the generously specified seven-seat Luxury grade, now adding more comfort and convenience features and improved active safety.
Lexus Safety Sense+ is expanded to now detect motorcycles in the day and bicyclists in the day and night, provide autonomous emergency braking when crossing intersections, and acceleration suppression at low speeds.2
Other new safety features standard across the range include safe exit assist, emergency driving stop system and a driver monitor camera.2
The big news for the interior across all LX grades is the larger and fully digital 12.3-inch multi-information display replacing the previous 8.0-inch version, while wireless Android Auto™3 (joining wireless Apple CarPlay®4) and an additional USB-C port (six in total) further improve connectivity.
Adding soft close doors and a centre console cool box now provides even greater comfort for LX Luxury customers.
Luxury grade may be optioned with an Enhancement Pack, packaging 22-inch alloy wheels, moon roof and hands-free kick sensor for the powered tailgate.
Building on the generous specification of Luxury with Enhancement Pack, the new five-seat Overtrail grade bolsters the extreme capability of the LX with the addition of front and rear locking differentials and unique 18-inch matte grey alloy wheels shod in high-profile Toyo®5 Open Country all-terrain tyres, providing superb grip in all off-road conditions.
The LX Overtrail also stands out with black radiator grille, front and rear bumpers, door handles, wheelarches, outer mirrors and door window mouldings; while inside customers will appreciate premium leather-accented seats with Monolith colour scheme and Sumi Ash black ornamentation.
Both the opulent LX Sports Luxury and dynamic LX F Sport grades also build on LX Luxury grade with Enhancement Pack, gaining new features including driver and front passenger massaging seats and four-way adjustable headrests.
The LX Sports Luxury is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations with the choice of diesel and petrol power, while LX F Sport is offered exclusively with five seats.
The opulent LX Ultra Luxury remains the flagship, featuring two VIP-style individual rear seats with 48-degree recline, exclusive quilting, massage function and a rear centre console with seat and audio controls.
The LX Ultra Luxury now adds a front wireless smartphone charger to match the existing charger in the rear6, and is offered exclusively in LX 600 guise.
Seven exterior colours are available, including new Moon Desert exclusively to Overtrail.7
